Mane, who started on the right side of Al Nassr's attack, was only shown a yellow card after his tussle with Al Ain substitute Saeed Juma.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the heated altercation cooled down as teammates from both sides separated the pair, although Al Ain manager Hernan Crespo did try to alert the match officials to what Mane did.
It turned out to be a night to forget for the ex-Premier League superstar and his teammates as they crashed out following a penalty shootout.
