Mamelodi Sundowns veteran midfielder, Surprise Moriri, says there's still a lot of work needed to be done, and that the team aims to take it one game at a time.
Going into the last two games of the Absa Premiership season, Sundowns can take full advantage of the stalemate between Wits and Kaizer Chiefs last night, and open up the gap even further.
"The league race is still on and our approach at this point is to focus on ourselves and take it one match a time. If we have to think about any other team, it has to be our next opponents, " he said on the club's official website.
Moriri also says their next game against SuperSport United will be a keenly anticipated one and that the Tshwane Derby has been a searing fixture over the years.
"Also the fact that our next match is a derby and an exciting one for that matter makes it a very important one for us. Since I've been with Sundowns there has been some thrillers in this derby, " he said.
He also praised the team's effort this season, saying it has been a team effort and that players are on the same wavelength.
"All the players have come to the party and worked hard to keep the team going forward, which shows common understanding in the team. Right now we have to continue in that same breath and keep our feet on the ground because there's still work to be done," he concluded.
The Tshwane derby will commence at 20:15 on Saturday from Loftus Stadium.
