Kaizer Chiefs resume PSL duty against Mamelodi Sundowns in exactly a week's time, and former Amakhosi midfielder Frank Makua believes the Naturena-based side can still defend their league title.
Makua told the Siya crew that, despite being fourth on the log, Chiefs can still retain the league title if they seal three consecutive victories.
The former midfielder went on to highlight the importance of their next game against log leaders and Telkom Knockout champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
"You know Sundowns are on a row now, but the league title is a marathon and Chiefs can still change things if they can win three games in a row. That's what they need and they should start against Sundowns on Saturday," Makua said.
"If they can win three in a row, then they are back in for the league title. It's still too early to throw in the towel now. They still have a chance of retaining the title."
