Chiefs haven't registered a win since February, but Makua believes that their performance against Muhsin Ertugral's side showed a definite improvement.
"I feel they have turned the corner," he told the Siya crew. "They played very well and showed the hunger that Chiefs is known for."
Makua looked ahead to today's game against Ajax Cape Town and said that if Chiefs put on a similar display today, and for the rest of the season, they will still be able to salvage something.
"If they continue to play like that in the remaining games then they can finish the season in a good position," he observed.
