Lebese, 30, has penned a season-long deal with United Soccer League outfit, Colorado Springs Switchbacks, as he looks for a fresh challenge away from South African shores, and flew into Denver via Atlanta over the weekend after receiving his visa for the United States of America.

The attacker has endured a difficult couple of years after leaving Kaizer Chiefs for Mamelodi Sundowns, spending a loan spell with SuperSport United before agreeing to a mutual termination of his Masandawana contract last year.

Now, under the tutelage of South African head coach, Alan Koch, Lebese will be hoping to get his mojo back as Koch looks to get him firing once again in a new environment.

The Switchbacks have a host of pre-season friendlies coming up during which Lebese is set to feature, but his main aim will be making sure he's ready to debut in March when the 2020 USL season begins against OKC Energy.

Lebese will start training with Koch and his side this week, and has been working hard in Mzansi before his departure in order to make sure that he can hit the ground running as his American adventure begins.
