Pirates Eager For A Strong Response, Expected Changes…

After a week-long break, Orlando Pirates return to action this afternoon with a crucial Nedbank Cup clash against Baroka FC aiming for success at home.

The Buccaneers are aiming to secure this prestigious trophy for the third consecutive time, mirroring their MTN8 triumph earlier in the season.

The match comes on the back of a humbling and unexpected 4-1 league defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns last Saturday.

Such a loss is rare by Pirates' standards, and their supporters will be eager to see a strong response from the team.

This fixture presents a perfect opportunity for Bucs to regain momentum and put their season back on track.

Coach Jose Riveiro, however, remained tight-lipped about his team's preparations during Thursday's press conference in Sandton, Johannesburg.

He provided no clarity on the availability of key players such as Olisa Ndah and Goodman Mosele, who are recovering from injuries.

Additionally, Monnapule Saleng's continued absence since December remains a mystery, as Riveiro declined to offer any updates on his status.

Following the heavy defeat against Sundowns, some changes are expected in the starting lineup.
