The Buccaneers are in their final preparations for the team's upcoming Nedbank Cup Last 32 game against EC Bees. The club has confirmed that Nyauza, who was substituted early in the game against SuperSport United, as well as Norodien will be checked on Friday before the team's trip to the Eastern Cape for the game.
"Defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza has undergone a scan to determine the full extent of his injury and has returned with good news.
"Nyauza, who was substituted in the first half of the Absa Premiership clash against SuperSport United on Tuesday after suffering a hamstring injury, can breathe a sigh of relief after his Ultrascan results showed no sign of major damage.
"According to the Bucs medical team, the 26 year old will undergo one last assessment on Friday to determine whether he is fit for Pirates' away trip to the Eastern Cape where the Mighty Buccaneers will take on EC Bees in the Last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.
"Meanwhile, the medical team has also revealed the reason behind Riyaad Norodien missing out in the clash against Matsatsantsa.
"According to the report, Norodien injured his toe during a training session and was unable to play without feeling any pain and/or discomfort. Like Nyauza, he too will be re-assessed on Friday," Bucs confirmed on the club's official website.
