The Buccaneers are in Egypt for their final Group B game against Zamalek on Sunday evening. Bucs and Zamalek have both already qualified for the semi-finals of the competition.
A win for Pirates will help them finish as Group B winners and demote Zamalek to 2nd spot, while AC Leopards and CS Sfaxien will take no further part in the competition, after this weekend's games.
"Facing Zamalek is always going to be a difficult challenge. But this is who we are, we thrive under difficult conditions. We have corrected our mistakes from when we played them in the first leg. It was a difficult but necessary lesson from which we have since learnt the importance of playing for the result," said Tinkler.
The game will be played at the Stade Petro Sport from 20h30 on Sunday.
"It is vitally important that we get a win against Zamalek and finish top of the group because we want to secure a home second leg semifinal. It is a tough ask but it's definitely doable. We have gone there (Egypt, Cairo) in the past and collected a positive result," explained Tinkler.
Bucs are scheduled to leave Cairo on Monday at 18h40 and are expected to fly to South Africa via Dubai.
The team is expected to land in the country at 10h50 on Tuesday to prepare for their league game against Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.
