Helman Mkhalele Heaps Praise On Pirates Players

Orlando Pirates legend, Helman Mkhalele believes that the hunger displayed the Soweto giants will drive them through the CAF Confederation Cup in similar fashion as their 2013 campaign where they reached the final of the CAF Champions League. Mkhalele told the Siya crew that Pirates' hunger is birthed by their experience in 2013 and desire to better that performance following Bucs' 2-1 victory over Uganda Revenue Authority. "When you look at Pirates playing in the CAF you can see that hunger in them as opposed to other teams," noted Mkhalele. "In 2013 they reached the finals of the Champions League and lost out to Al Ahly. Nothing motivates a player then to come so close and fall short in the end." "It pushes you and drives you to do even better and that is what will give the Buccaneers the edge when they go to Uganda for the second leg." The Bucs legend further congratulated Lehlohonolo Majoro's call up to the national side for the friendlies against Swaziland and Nigeria. "It's good to see major in Bafana, he has been doing well in the league. You can never fully understand why a coach choses this player and leaves that one out, but Major has continued working hard and deserves his place," concluded Mkhalele.
