Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Brilliant Khuzwayo, says there is still work to be done from his side, despite his current fine form.
The 24-year-old shot-stopper has done incredibly well for the Amakhosi since coming in to replace the injured Itumeleng Khune, earning himself a call-up to the national team as a reward.
Now, as he prepares alongside Darren Keet and Siyabonga Mpontshane, the goalkeeper says that he's happy to be being noticed by Shakes Mashaba.
Speaking to Chiefs' official website, Khuzwayo said, "The job is not done yet. It is a great feeling (being on Bafana camp), but I still have a lot of work to do. Definitely, a call up is an indication of a step in the right direction for any player.
"I know most of the guys in the squad. It is now a matter of gelling as a team. I have played under Coach Mashaba before at the U-23s and this selection comes as a great sign of confidence in my abilities. I hope to work hard and keep pushing myself to become a regular in the national team.
"We had a good session (yesterday) and we are looking forward to the game on Saturday."
It remains to be seen who Mashaba will select as his number one on Saturday, however he will no doubt have a tough choice on his hands when he chooses his man for the upcoming African Cup of Nations fixtures.
