The Juventus superstar scored a brace in his second-half cameo off the bench against Spezia on Sunday.

He has thus taken his tally to five Serie A strikes this season, and to 70 goals overall since joining the Italian giants.

The 35-year-old has now scored an incredible 643 goals at club level throughout his career, netting five times for Sporting, 118 times for Manchester United and 450 times for Real Madrid to add to his 70 strikes for Juve.

In addition, he also scored 101 goals for Portugal, with only legendary Brazil striker Pele and Austria/Czechoslovakia legend Josef Bican having netted more in official matches, according to football expert Alexis Martín-Tamayo, better known as Mr Chip, and records from the Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation.

Pele retired on 757 official goals, while Bican netted 759 strikes, which is only 15 more than Ronaldo's current tally. As a consequence, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner could overtake both legends this season.

Ronaldo climbed above Romario following his latest brace, while longstanding rival Lionel Messi is on 707 goals for club and country.
