German giants Bayern Munich have released an official statement regarding their being linked with Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chelsea To Hijack Man Utd Deal For Real Star?
Recent rumours suggest that Ronaldo wants to leave Los Blancos as he apparently believes the club failed to adequately support him after it was revealed that he has been accused of tax fraud.
Clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-German and Bayern Munich have since been linked with the Portuguese, but Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has insisted the Bavarians will not be targeting the superstar.
"We are accustomed to speculating intensively on possible ins and outs during the transfer period," he said in a statement from the club, according to the Daily Express.
"As a rule, we do not comment on these rumours. But, in the case of Ronaldo, we want to clarify once and for all that this rumour has no basis and must be referred to the realm of the fable."
