The Merseysiders have finally moved into their new AXA Training Centre 722 days after construction on it began, having left their old training ground Melwood, which had been the team's base for 70 years.
The new 9 200sqm facility, which will host the first team as well as the U23 side, boasts three full-size pitches, goalkeeping and warm-up areas, and host of indoor facilities, including two gyms, a full-size sports hall, a pool, a hydrotherapy complex, and specialist sports rehabilitation suites.
It also includes TV studios, press conference facilities and office accommodation, and coach Jurgen Klopp was seemingly in awe on his first day at his club's new training centre.
"Today is a really special day for the team – it has been a long time coming. There has been a lot of steps, meetings with architects, designers, everybody," he told the Reds' official website.
"The facility is great and whoever has the chance to visit will be impressed. It is a wonderful building – you have everything you need now and for the future. It's pretty much perfect."
