Pogba was among many underperforming United stars in the first 45 minutes against Palace, a showing Jose Mourinho was not happy with.
Misplaced passes and lackadaisical defending from the Frenchman had supporters wondering whether or not he would continue to feature after the break, although he did run out for the second half.
Gary Neville, a consummate professional during his playing days, was seemingly appalled by what he saw in the first half from Pogba, and slammed the 24-year-old for not taking the game seriously.
"It's been nowhere near good enough – Pogba's great strength is that he plays with freedom like he's playing on the park with his mates, but his great weakness is that he's playing on the park with his mates," he told Sky Sports.
"It's like everything he does is all for a YouTube or Instagram video. It's like it's not serious – like it's a joke to him.
"There's no wonder Jose Mourinho has left him out in recent weeks."
After being 2-0 down in the 47th minute, goals from Chris Smalling, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic saw the Red Devils come from behind to win 3-2.
Reports: Five Man Utd Stars Keen To Leave
As a result, United moved back into second place in the Premier League, two points ahead of Jurgen Klopp's in-form Liverpool – who they will play this coming weekend.
