After playing their first continental encounter of the campaign away in Algeria, the Buccaneers will return to the North African nation for their first knockout clash of the competition as well.

Mouloudia will be welcoming the Betway Premiership side to the Stade du 5 Juillet 1962 on Tuesday evening, marking the first time they will play against a South African side in the continent's premier club competition.

During Pirates' first trip to Algeria this season, which was against CR Belouizdad, they came away with a 2-1 victory, so the Sea Robbers have experience winning in that part of the world. It will likely be a tough task for the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 table-toppers to emerge victorious, but their head coach, Khaled Ben Yahia, claims that he and his charges are ready to win.

Speaking ahead of their first-leg encounter, the Tunisian tactician said, as per Ennahar Online:

"We are expecting a tough match against a strong and well-organized opponent, but we will strive for a positive result."

"We are ready for this match. The suspension of the tournament has given us a good opportunity to prepare better."

"We studied the opponent by watching many of its matches on video. We have a clear idea of its style of play."

According to Transfermarkt, Algiers have not made it beyond the quarter-final stages since they won the competition during the 1975/76 season, so they will be looking to make history over the upcoming two legs against the Bucs.
