…And Al Hilal Benghazi Make Campbell Enquiry

Siya sources have furthermore informed the crew that Ime Okon is not the only SuperSport United player in demand, his teammate and winger Shandre Campbell is believed to be the subject of interest too.

The 18-year-old was another DStv Diski Challenge graduate promoted to the first team by coach Gavin Hunt and has grabbed that opportunity to produce some of the become one of the stand out players for the club.

His agent, Mike Makaab of ProSport International had made it clear in the media that Campbell is destined for Europe, although Soccer Laduma insiders have already revealed that crosstown rivals Mamelodi Sundowns are tracking the player.

News coming out of the SuperSport camp is that Libyan outfit Al Hilal Benghazi have made an enquiry about Campbell, a player who faced them twice in the CAF Confederation Cup group fixtures this season.

Benghazi are the type of club not shy to ambitiously target players outside their country if they feel they can afford and can add value to their squad.

The Siya crew understands a potential move to any part of the African continent does not follow the trajectory the player's agency has set for him.

Like Okon, the teenager will be the talking points at the end of the campaign having already played at least 20 matches in his breakthrough season.

Campbell could have featured in more fixtures had it not been for school – the club had preferred his concentrate on his Matric exams last year and only return once that chapter of his life has been put behind him.
