Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has criticised one of his players who returned from the FIFA World Cup out of shape.
Philips joined the Premier League champions from Leeds United in the off-season, but has only made four appearances across all competitions, all of which came from the bench.
Despite his lack of minutes, the 27-year-old was still called up to England squad for the World Cup in Qatar, where he was largley used in a substitute role.

Phillips' England teammates John Stones, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish all featured in Thursday's Carabao Cup win over Liverpool, while he was not included in the squad.
"He's not injured. He arrived overweight. I don't know [why]," Guardiola said, as per Sky Sports.
"He didn't arrive in the condition to do training sessions and to play."
When told he has been with the England side and their nutritionists, Guardiola added, "No, no, no, no. Absolutely. That's why he cannot play. When he will be ready, he will play, because we need him, we need him a lot."
