Orlando Pirates will take on AmaZulu FC in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals at Moses Mabhida Stadium without three of their regular centre backs on Saturday.

Bucs will be without Nkosinathi Sibisi, Thapelo Xoki and Olisa Ndah, but coach Jose Riveiro is not concerned, believing they have the depth to contend with this challenge.

Talking to media during a press conference at the Nedbank headquarters in Sandton, Johannesburg, the Spanish coach stated that his team has seven central defenders and that only three are out.

"No. No, we are not worried about the three missing defenders. Yes, they are an important part of the team but you know we have seven central defenders who can play in that area. In some games we have used Thabiso (Sesane) or Sandile (Mthethwa) and they did very well," Riveiro said.

"We are a team and all the other players who will be available on the day are capable of playing in those positions. So, as for missing them we won't miss them in this game," Riveiro said.

The coach was not aware of their record against Usuthu at Moses Mabhida Stadium where Bucs haven't lost at the iconic Durban stadium.

"Oh is it like that? We haven't lost to them at Moses Mabhida? That's a good record and we would like to maintain that record. Win on Saturday. Go to the semi-finals and win and reach the finals and hope we also have a good result in the finals.

"But first we have to start with AmaZulu. But we won't be thinking about the history and records. We will be looking at playing the game and to win it," Riveiro concluded.
