Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rualani Mokwena has hailed the impact of two of the substitutes in the win over Stellenbosch FC.

Goals from Khuliso Mudau and Thembinkosi Lorch guided the Brazilians to the Nedbank Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

Both Thapelo Morena and Lorch came off the bench, with the former collecting the Man of the Match award after replacing Divine Lunga early in the first half.

"Yeah, a difficult game, of course against a difficult team and you can see why they went 25 games unbeaten but I thought we were very good today, tactically, I think we got the tactics spot on and I think compliments to these players. We got through today because of the mentality," Mokwena said on SuperSport.

"Unfortunately we had to make an early sub with (Divine) Lunga but Thapelo (Morena) was amazing when he came on.

"Lorch was amazing when he came on, so big compliments to the football club, congratulations to Sundowns for yet another final this season. We keep going now, we try to win the next one."

Sundowns will now face rivals Orlando Pirates in the final, but Mokwena is only thinking about finishing the league strong.

"Yea, but first is the next league match against Golden Arrows and then we have to go and try to finish the league properly, like the defending champions and then we will see," Mokwena reacted to coming up against the Nedbank Cup defending champions.

"We will cross the Pirates bridge when we get to it. Now let's put our feet on the ground, celebrate the win for sure, it's important for us but also at the same time keep our feet on the ground, stay humble, stay focused, there's still quite a number of games to be played before the final," he added.
