Legendary Orlando Pirates defender and captain of the history-making 1995 CAF Champions League winning side, Edward "Magents" Motale, predicts an unstoppable force in the Buccaneers next season.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Motale highlighted the team's impressive recent form as a strong indicator of future dominance.

"The coach together with his technical team have built a strong team. If you look at the current PSL squads I think it's only Mamelodi Sundowns who comes closer to Pirates. They have good players who balance each other in all the departments. If you look at the way they play from one game to another you can't really see whether there are changes or not and if they continue like that they will be dangerous next season. They will be the team to beat next season. They are building a winning machine going forward and the players are starting to understand the coach and each other well. That's very good for the team if they are to be strong and unbeatable," Motale believes.

Motale is confident that Pirates are on the verge of becoming a dominant force in South African football. Their current form, coupled with a strong squad foundation, suggests a bright future for the Buccaneers. However, Motale emphasizes that maintaining a strong core group of players will be crucial for sustained success. "You see most teams that perform season in season out don't change the whole squad. If there is no need to change then just keep the core of the team and just add two or three players who you really need to strengthen the team. But otherwise with the proven and trusted that you have from the previous season and they will give you the results you need."

However, Motale acknowledges the importance of maintaining a strong core for sustained success.

"Continuity is what we will need next season so that we can be consistent in our performance and results. But as I have said, next season Pirates will be more dangerous if you look at the way they are playing right now," Morale observed.
