Itumeleng Khune’s suspension appears to have stretched beyond the walls of Naturena as the veteran shot-stopper was seemingly replaced by a teenager in the Carling Knockout All Star match.

Khune continues to be removed from all Kaizer Chiefs activities following the club’s decision to ban him for transgressing the club’s disciplinary code of conduct.
There was hope that Khune would however feature in the innovative Carling Knockout All Star match, having amassed the second most votes, 34 455, (at the time of counting) behind leader Kermit Erasmus who had accumulated 38349 (as per the latest votes).
However, according to the latest Carling Knockout leaderboard, Khune has been replaced in the starting XI by Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Zoey Monyepao.
The son of music icon DJ Cleo has managed to work his way into the starting XI, replacing Khune, with an impressive 28 897 votes so far.
With just over two weeks to go before the match, which will feature Carling Knockout winners Stellenbosch FC, you can expect a few more surprises to the All-Star line-up.
