Renowned coach Roger De Sa has thrown his name in the hat for the coaching job at Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs are in the market for a new head coach after the exit of Molefi Ntseki last year. The club has interim coach Cavin Johnson at the helm, with indications that Amakhosi are seeking to fill the position during the off-season.

De Sa, who was recently part of the Qatar national team under Carlos Queiroz, admits he is ready for any team looking to make use of him.

“I’m ready and available for any team that needs my services, even if it’s Chiefs,” De Sa said to the Sunday World.

"I have been back home since January and I miss the smell of grass and being on the touchlines. I’m open to coaching any club, even if it’s primary school. I just want to get back to action,” he added.

The 59-year-old isn’t unfamiliar with the domestic game, having coached the defunct Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town; Santos, Orlando Pirates, and Platinum Stars.

His stand-out moments include taking Pirates to the final of the 2013 CAF Champions League as well as four other finals in the same year.
