Barcelona president has claimed that he will make a big ElClasico request should it be revealed that VAR made a massive error.

Barcelona's president has claimed that he will push for an audacious ElClasico request if it is revealed that a goal his side scored against Real Madrid this past weekend was incorrectly disallowed.

Jude Bellingham made it 21 goals in all competitions this season when his 91st minute winner secured a third successive win for Los Blancos over the Blaugrana this season with a 3-2 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Real now 11 points ahead in the league as a consequence.

However, the outcome of the match could have been a lot different if Lamine Yamal's effort on goal during the first half was awarded. Instead, the strike was seemingly pushed off the line by Real goalkeeper Andriy Lunin and because LALIGA does not have goal-line technology, the goal was not given.

Barca chief Joan Laporta has since insisted that should it be revealed that the 16-year-old strike was, in fact, a goal, then he will make a strong case for the ElClasico to be replayed.

"There were several debatable incidents in the match, but amongst all of them there is one that is crucial and can change the result of the game," Laporta said in a statement on Monday, as per ESPN.

"I am referring to the 'phantom goal' by Lamine Yamal. As a club, we want to be sure about what happened. It is for that reason we will make an immediate request for a comprehensive collection of footage and audio from the incident.

"If, once this documentation has been analysed, the club understands that an error was made in the revision of the incident, we will take all available measures to reverse the situation, without discounting, obviously, any necessary legal action.

"If it is confirmed that it was a legal goal, we will move ahead and request that the game be replayed, just as has happened in another game in Europe due to a VAR error."
