The Red Devils were unchanged from the side that started the 2-2 draw against Liverpool, although Antony was out of the squad due to injury.

The Cherries broke the deadlock after 15 minutes as Dominic Solanke did well to skip past Willy Kambwala and found the bottom corner from the edge of the box for his 17th league goal of the campaign.

After a slow start to the first half, United got back on level terms in the 30th minute when Bruno Fernandes made three goals in as many games with a poweful volley from six yards out.

United's joy didn't last too long as Bournemouth levelled matters five minutes later when Justin Kluivert was given time and space to fire home at the near post of Onana's goal.

Ten Hag's men did go close to getting the equaliser just before the break as Fernandes cut in from the left and unleashed a powerful strike that crash against the crossbar.

United came out firing in the second half and were awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute when Adam Smith handled the ball in the box. Fernandes stepepd up and calmly slotted home to level matters for a second time.

Both sides pushed for the go-ahead goal, although the Cherries looked a little more livelier going forward but they were let down by the decision-making in the final third.
