Argentina and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has named four players who he feels will compete for Ballon d'Or in the next few years.
Messi has dominated the Ballon d'Or award since winning his first in 2009, with the Argentine winning a record eight.
The Argentine's long-standing rival Cristiano Ronaldo also has five Ballon d'Or crowns to his name, but he failed to make the 30-man shortlist for 2023.

With Ronaldo and Messi moving away from Europe, the Barcelona legend has named four players who could compete for the accolade in the future.
"The players to compete for the Ballon d'Or in the coming years?," Messi told L'Equipe.
"There may be a very beautiful rivalry in the coming years with players like Haaland, Mbappe, Vinicius and many young players competing for the Ballon d'Or.
"I also think that Lamine Yamal, who is still very young and now plays for Barcelona, ??will play a prominent role and fight for it in the future too.
"Certainly there will be others competing for it, new players that we do not know will appear, because there are always new players, and I think it will be a very beautiful era to enjoy."
