A former Bafana Bafana coach has reportedly made a decision on the vacant head coach role with the Algeria national team.
The North Africans are currently without a head coach after parting ways with Djamel Belmadi following the team's disappointing group stage-exit at the Africa Cup of Nations last month.

Reports suggested that the Desert Warriors were looking at former Egypt and South Africa coach Carlos Queiroz as a possible replacement for Belmadi.
However, KingFut has reported that the Queiroz has turned down an offer from the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) to take over as head coach.
Quieroz was recently in charge of the Qatar national side but his time with the team came to an end after 11 months.
The report adds that Portuguese tactician’s lawyer is also upset with the reports regarding the coach's Alzheimer’s disease, as he remains in a good condition,
The 70-year-old's last job on the African continent came with the Egypt national side, where he guided the team to the Africa Cup of Nations final in 2021 where they lost to Senegal on penalties.
