Kgatlana's dream comes true
Thembi Kgatlana seems to have put the disappointment of Banyana Banyana not qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris behind her, following dreamy trip to New Zealand.
Kgatlana headed to the Wellington Zoo to the the chance to fulfill a long term dream of feeding tigers! Although we're blessed with the big five in South Africa, a prominent member of the big cat family can't be found here...
Tigers are native to Asia, making Kgatlana's dream of feeding the menacing beast an even more distant one. Kgatlana, who plies her trade in Mexico for Tigres UANL Femenil, was seen feeding pieces of meat to hungry tigers through what looked like a metal barricade.
"For a long time, I have dreamt of feeding my favourite animal. And when it happened, it was magical like I have always imagined it to be.This is one experience I hold dearly in my heart. Thank you, @wellington.zoo and my friends from New Zealand @delarkis @life_of_riley_wellington for making this dream a reality," wrote Kgatlana's IG post caption.
