Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has bemoaned the disallowed goal his side scored against Stellenbosch FC and feels the decision would have been overturned if there was VAR.
Tashreeq Matthews netted in the second half but was ruled to be offside, and Stellies went on to score in the final 10 minutes to secure the visitors a point in a 1-1 draw at Loftus Stadium on Wednesday night.

With the draw, Sundowns remained in second place behind Orlando Pirates, but still have a game in hand. After the game, Cardoso commented on Matthews being ruled offside.
"I think there were a lot of traps on our way until the end. I don't want to speak too much because I need to protect myself a little bit, but I also saw the situation from Tashreeq, and I think it's clear from the TV that if there were VAR, for sure he would not be offside," Cardoso told the media after the game.
"It's a minimum margin, but it's clear that he is not offside. But I don't want to comment too much on the referees. I don't want to comment too much anything to do with organisation. I have no comments. I let those comments to be made by people who are responsible and can help."
