This week's midweek action is focused on the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, with Africa's best fighting it out to lift the continent's most coveted trophy.

All eyes will be on Bafana Bafana as they take on Angola in Group A, can they record their first win of the Afcon as the host nation?

We preview the second Group A game between Morocco and Cape Verde, as well as the Group B action, as Niger and DR Congo go head-to-head, while Ghana face Mali. Who will win?

In addition, we look at the Capital One Cup second leg semi-final tie between Swansea City v Chelsea. Who is your money on?

If you are a betting person, here are tips ahead of the midweek action brought to you by Soccer 6 and guest predictor, AmaZulu defender, Marc van Heerden.

SOUTH AFRICA V ANGOLA

CAF ranking: South Africa 22nd and Angola 19th

Useful facts: In this crucial Group A clash, Gordon Igesund will be conscious of how important a win could be to their hopes of qualifying for the next round of the Afcon. Angola will be a tough nut to crack and were unlucky not to beat Morocco in their first match.

Marc van Heerden: I have to go for a Bafana win. They've got a point to prove.

MOROCCO V CAPE VERDE

CAF ranking: Morocco 17th and Cape Verde 15th

Useful facts: Morocco will feel they're strong favourites going into this tie against Cape Verde. The tiny island nation didn't look at all convincing against Bafana Bafana in their first game. The North Africans will be hopeful of a positive result.

Marc van Heerden: Morocco win, I feel they've got more quality than Cape Verde.

SWANSEA CITY V CHELSEA

League ranking: Swansea 9th and Chelsea 3rd

Useful facts: In this second leg tie in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup, Swansea hold on to a two-goal lead at the Liberty Stadium. Chelsea's array of stars will no doubt want to pull out all the stops to get back into this encounter.

Marc van Heerden: Chelsea will take the win. Rafa Benitez is under pressure to deliver.

GHANA V MALI

CAF ranking: Ghana 4th and Mali 3rd

Useful facts: Ghana are one of the giants of African football and boast a feared striking department with Asamoah Gyan leading the line. Mali are also no pushovers and are currently ranked higher than their West African neighbours. This could be a cracking game!

Marc van Heerden: I'll go for a draw.

NIGER V DR CONGO

CAF ranking: Niger 25th
and Congo 27th

Useful facts: In this Afcon Group B encounter, struggling Niger take on an equally underachieving Congo outfit at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. This match could be a cagey affair decided by the odd
goal.

Marc van Heerden: This could be tight, but I think Congo will take the win.
