"Of course they are going to cut down the squad and they have already identified which goalkeepers would be leaving the team at the end of the season. The technical team is believed to only need three experienced goalkeepers and one younger one to step up as an understudy. So, out of the seven, now four are set to be cut at the start of next season," the Siya source stated.
Both Arrows and SuperSport had previously expressed interest in retaining Watenga and Goss respectively. However that doesn't necessarily mean it would happen and it'd take time before Cardoso finalizes which three senior keepers he wants in his squad.

A second insider stated how the squad reduction will occur after the FIFA Club World Cup in America in June.
"The cutting of the squad will be after the Club World Cup. That will be when we will also know which goalkeeper is leaving and who is staying. It will be the same with the infield players. You may find others will go to the Club World Cup but will still be released. A lot will go into this exercise. But it will still apparently be done because that's what the technical team has recommended and the Sporting Director is supporting the move," the second source told the Siya crew.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
