Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has thanked the supporters for their tremendous support and says that he hopes to reward them by bringing back the CAF Confederation Cup trophy.
When Pirates arrived from Egypt on Tuesday at the OR Tambo after qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup final, a huge support base welcomed the team home.
Tinkler affirmed that the support that they have received from every South African is what has seen them through the tough moments and he says that they now want to give something back to the fans.
"We are grateful for the support that we have received from everyone in the country. We know our supporters are wishing us well and many other South Africans as well," he told Soccer Laduma.
"That's what keeps us going and we have to give back to everyone who has supported us by going to the finals and making sure we bring back the trophy.
"It's not easy but with the support from everyone in the country then we can do it," the former Bafana Bafana midfielder concluded.
