The Egyptians host the South African side in Suez this weekend, as they seek to overturn the 1-0 goal deficit from the first-leg in Johannesburg, and their head coach believes that they can go on to be victorious.
Thamsanqa Gabuza's goal proved to be the difference in the first-leg, with Mabrouk saying that it was a 'defensive mistake' and that his side didn't deserve to lose.
He told the CAF website, "We have to win the Orange CAF Confederation Cup as a consolation to our great fans… We're not used to finishing a season without trophies, and the Orange CAF Confederation Cup would be the perfect gift to our supporters.
"We will do our best to turn the score and guarantee our place in the final. Orlando Pirates is a strong team. In the first-leg, we made a defensive mistake and they made good use of it. We didn't deserve to lose as we missed a number of scoring chances. Hopefully, we won't repeat that on Sunday."
Pirates left for Egypt this morning and will travel to Suez via both Dubai and Cairo as they look to beat the Egyptian giants for the third time.
