Etoile du Sahel are on the brink of progressing to the CAF Confederation Cup final, after they thumped Zamalek 5-1 in the first leg of their semi-final tie.

The hosts went ahead in the fourth minute when Marouane Taj fired home a low effort past Ahmed El-Shennawy.
It got better for the Tunisian outfit in the ninth minute when Baghdad Bounedjah slotted home from close range for his fourth goal in the tournament.
However, Zamalek did reduced the deficit in the 24th minute courtesy of a long range effort from Ayman Hefni, before Alaya Brigui headed home Iheb Msakni's cross to make it 3-1 to the home side.
Etoile did not ease up in the second half and managed to add two more goals, when Marouane Taj grabbed his second of the game after 80 minutes, while the scoring was rounded off by Saddam Ben Aziza in the 87th minute.
Zamalek will host Etoile in the second leg in Egypt next week, with the winner taking on the either Orlando Pirates or Al Ahly in the final.
