Orlando Pirates' 2013 CAF Champions League run which saw them go all the way to the final, will be instrumental when the Buccaneers commence their 2015 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, this according to midfielder, Mpho Makola.

Under former Bucs coach, Roger de Sa, the 28-year-old was part of the squad, making three substitute appearances during the Champions League, however since then 'Bibo' has become an integral part of the Bucs midfield alongside skipper Oupa Manyisa and, will bank on his experience to drive Pirates in their African campaign.
"Our experience in the Champions League in 2013 will come in handy for the Confederation Cup and it will make us better players," reasoned the lanky midfielder.
"African experience builds players. Look at how it helped players like Oupa Manyisa and Andile Jali do well for the national squad."
"I wasn't a regular when I played in the Champions League, but now that I playing more often I want to learn about playing in Africa and further continue cementing my place in the Bucs starting eleven," concluded Bibo.
In the 20 league appearances Makola has played for Pirates, he has 17 starts and has netted twice.
