Former Orlando Pirates striker, Andries Sebola says that he is happy for coach Eric Tinkler following their success in the CAF Confederation Cup.
On Sunday, Pirates beat Al Ahly 4-3 in Egypt to qualify for the final of the African competition 5-3 aggregate, having won the semi-final first-leg 1-0 in Soweto.
Sebola said that Pirates have proven that they can play well away in Africa, which gives them the chance to win the CAF Confederation Cup.
"If you remember well in 1995 they won the CAF Champions League away beating ASEC Mimosas and now they are playing home first and finish it away, meaning they can repeat that feat as well," he told the Siya crew.
"I am happy for coach Eric Tinkler and the whole technical team. They had a good plan for the game starting with two strikers in Majoro and Gabuza, which put pressure on the opponents. I wish they could also do the same in the local PSL games.
"He also made very good substitutions bringing in Kermit Erasmus and Thabo Rakhale who both scored. If you look at Rakhale, he can become a super sub in place of Myeni, who is a bit out of form but he is still a good player. All in all the whole team played very well and they deserved to win," Sebola concluded.
