As things stand the game will be closed to fans following the Egyptian government's decision to not allow supporters into the match, with CAF having chosen to uphold that decision up until now.

The Buccaneers go into tonight's encounter with a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg, and know that a clean sheet will be enough to see them progress into the CCC final against Etoile du Sahel.

Pirates' media officer, Thandi Merafe, said on Twitter this morning from Suez in Egypt, "Al Ahly has requested CAF General Coordinator to lift the ban tonight. The request has been taken to CAF HQ. The ban is a decision of the Egyptian government, which CAF has decided to uphold.

"We await the final decision to be confirmed when we arrive at the stadium later tonight. As things stand we are unable to confirm whether the match will be played behind closed doors or open to the public."

The game is set to take place at 20h30 this evening and will be shown live on both SABC1 and SuperSport 4.
