Recap: The 10 Richest Club Owners In Football

With billionaire club owners coming under heavy fire this week amid the European Super League drama, here is a reminder of who the 10 richest club chiefs in football are!

Many of the sport's wealthiest club bosses have been hit with major criticism since Sunday, after the announcement of the controversial Super League.

It now, however, appears clear that the proposed project, founded by the owners of 12 clubs across Europe, will not be able to get underway as planned with most of the teams withdrawing their participation over the past 24 hours.

One of them was Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who seemed to give into strong pressure from fans who protested the Blues' involvement in the continental league outside Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

The Russian-Israeli businessman is among the richest football club owners in the world, with Forbes stating in 2020 that he was worth $12.4 billion (R177 billion).

Incredibly enough, this figure was only enough to see the Chelsea boss, who took over the club in 2003, in fourth place in the ranking, behind Juventus president Andrea Agnelli with a net worth of $13.5 billion (R192 billion).

Second on Forbes' 2020 list was RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg and New York Red Bulls owner Dietrich Mateschitz, but who does the top spot belong to? Find out in the gallery below!
