Former Real Madrid superstar Kaka has recalled one of the biggest shocks he experienced during his career.
Reports: Pep Identifies His Top Target For City
The Brazilian was part of the AC Milan team that featured in the 2005 UEFA Champions League final, when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down to win on penalties, and the Orlando City star has now insisted that, even to this day, he is still not sure how the Milan club saw defeat that night.
"Honestly, years later, I still can't understand how we managed to lose that game," Kaka told Radio Cope.
"We had the best defenders in the world in that team.
"Our back four was Cafu, Jaap Stam, Alessandro Nesta and Paolo Maldini, but we still let in three goals in six minutes. Something amazing happened that can't be explained.
"All you can really say is that, in football, these things can happen. Especially in the Champions League, we have seen truly incredible things happen."
