The Argentine, who has one of the most sought after shirts in world football, shocked many when he admitted to having asked for a Real Madrid player's shirt once upon a time.
Messi recently revealed that he once asked current Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane for his shirt back when he was a Real player.
"I am not one to ask to swap shirts. I asked, once... I asked Zidane," Messi said, as quoted by The Sun.
"(Forrmer Real midfielder) Guti came and asked me. He asked me when we play here (Camp Nou) and when we played there (Santiago Bernabeu). In both matches.
"I don't ask for shirts. If there is an Argentine, I will swap with an Argentine. If not and there is someone else that asks me, I will swap it with them. If not, I do not look and do not ask."
