The lengthy transfer saga linking Neymar with a return to the Camp Nou ultimately came to nothing with PSG reportedly holding out for a figure of €300 million (R4.8 billion) for the 27-year-old's signature.
Barcelona were unwilling to match the regining Ligue 1 champions' valuation, and have now instead reportedly turned their attentions to French wonderkid Mbappe.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana have prioritized signing the 20-year-old over Neymar as he presents a more valuable long-term investment to the club and maintains a better profile on and off the pitch.

The Catalan giants would have to stump up a similar figure to PSG's demands for Neymar to sign the Frenchman, but are reportedly willing to do so given Mbappe's age and achievements thus far.
The former AS Monaco starlet only turns 21 later this year and has already won three Ligue 1 titles and the 2018 Fifa World Cup with France, as well as the Ligue 1 Golden Boot award last season.
