Cristiano Ronaldo, who reached another incredible career milestone on Wednesday night, is now less than 10 goals away from becoming the all-time record goalscorer in the history of professional football.

The Juventus superstar scored once in his side's 3-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv this week, taking his tally for the 2020/21 campaign to 10 strikes in just eight appearances.
Ronaldo reached a major career milestone with his goal, which marked the 750th strike of his professional career.

As a consequence, Ronaldo is now just nine goals shy of Josef Bican's record for the most goals scored for club and country at professional level.
The 35-year-old has scored 648 goals at club level – five for Sporting, 118 for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid and 75 for Juventus – plus another 102 strikes with Portugal, while Bican is ahead of him with 759 strikes, followed by Brazil legend Pele, who scored 757 goals, according to football expert Alexis Martin-Tamayo, better known as Mr Chip.

Messi, meanwhile, is fifth in the ranking with 712 strikes for club and country.
The Argentine needed 883 games to reach his tally, while Ronaldo scored his 750 goals in 1 026 appearances for club and country.
