Official: Paris Saint-Germain Announce First 2019/20 Signing

With Paris Saint-Germain potentially losing out on superstar Neymar, they have now signed a player who could replace him in their starting XI as the club's first buy of this window.

The French giants have already seen seven first-team players leave ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, with Neymar seemingly prepared to force a move away from the club as well.

Timothy Weah was the latest player to be sold by PSG, while Gianluigi Buffon and Dani Alves' contracts expired on Sunday. Adrien Rabiot's deal also expired, but he has already found a new club in Juventus.

As a consequence, the Ligue 1 champions now need to add some new faces to their squad, and Pablo Sarabia, formerly of Sevilla, has now been confirmed as the club's first arrival ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The 27-year-old joins the French giants for a reported fee of €19.5 million (R312 million), and has put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Similar to Neymar, Sarabia can play on both wings and as an attacking midfielder. He had an impressive 2018/19 campaign, scoring 23 goals and assisting another 17 strikes in 52 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla.
