Zinedine Zidane Refuses Mohamed Salah Question

Zinedine Zidane Refuses Mohamed Salah Question

With Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah recently leaving the door open to a move to LaLiga, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane refused to answer a specific question about the African superstar.

Ahead of Los Blancos' UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against the Reds on Tuesday night, Zidane was asked about the Reds' 29-year-old forward Salah.

In a recent interview, the Egypt international surprised many when he admitted that his future is not in his hands, and also seemingly left the door open on a potential move to Spain's top division.

With Real set to host Jurgen Klopp's men on Tuesday, Zidane was asked during a pre-match press conference if he would like to coach Salah one day, but the question was not met with great enthusiasm by the Frenchman.

"He isn't my player," he said, according to Goal.

"I have 25 players here, at the moment I'm a Real Madrid coach and I enjoy every day of the moment."

Salah has been heavily linked with a switch to the 13-time Champions League winners in the past, with reports in recent months suggesting that he is not entirely happy in England.

The Egyptian reportedly became upset with Klopp when the German tactician did not make him captain for a certain European clash earlier this season, leading to rumours he could seek a transfer away from the club.

Despite the off-field murmurs, Salah has scored 26 goals and assisted a further four strikes in 41 matches across all competitions for the Merseysiders this season.
