According to the Daily Mirror, Jose Mourinho is looking to release five players in the next couple of months, believed to be Luke Shaw, Wayne Rooney, Adnan Januzaj, David de Gea and Chris Smalling.
The players the former Chelsea manager is said to be hoping to see arrive at Old Trafford are Danny Rose, Ivan Perisic, Alvaro Morata, Michael Keane and Andrea Belotti.
The Red Devils are believed to be close to agreeing a deal for Real Madrid's Morata, but there seems to be a few minor details that still need to be worked out.
Croatian winger Perisic and left back Rose are two stars Mourinho would love to add to his squad as he is keen to get rid of Januzaj and Shaw, who have failed to impress him.
The English giants are also looking to bring in one more centre back – having already already agreed a deal with Benfica for Victor Lindelof – and it is expected that Smalling will make way for former United youth product Keane.
