Tottenham Hotspur star Tanguy Ndombele has revealed he spoke to Kylian Mbappe about the possibility of joining Paris Saint-Germain a couple years ago.
There were reports linking Ndombele with a departure last season after he struggled to break into the Spurs team under both Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.
While he remains under contract in north London until 2025, the 24-year-old did not rule out a move to the French capital in the future.
"I spoke with Kylian about possibly coming to PSG – two or three years in a row we discussed it. It didn't happen and today at Tottenham it's going well, but why not in the future?"
The Frenchman also revealed his delight to be playing regularly after rough start to life in north London.
"It was tough. I questioned myself a lot, but now the page is turned," he added.
"It's true that at a certain moment I wanted to leave, I didn't feel in the right place. I told them I wanted out. They didn't want me to go."
