With interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rumoured to be set to take over the reins at Manchester United on a permanent basis, the Norwegian has made a revelation that could have a significant bearing on his future with the Premier League giants.

Solskjaer was appointed as United caretaker coach in December 2018, after the Red Devils sacked Jose Mourinho following a string of disappointing results.
Upon being appointed as interim manager, it was believed Solskjaer still had a contract with Norwegian outfit Molde. However, the 46-year-old has since defused these claims, suggesting that he is free to put pen to paper on a permanent deal at United.
"I'm not sure how it works. I think the contract is expired and I'm now under contract with Manchester United," he told Norwegian podcast Fotballklubben.
"I think we need a new contract there (at Molde if he were to return)."
United and Solskjaer have already reportedly agreed the terms of his new contract at Old Trafford.
However, the latest reports indicate that should the Manchester club decide against offering Solskjaer a long-term contract, a return to Molde could be on the cards for the Norwegian.

Since taking over from Mourinho, Solskjaer has taken charge of 16 United games, securing 13 victories and losing only one match in that time, in the first leg of United's last 16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain the UEFA Champions League.
