German legend Franz Beckenbauer has advised Mats Hummels to join Manchester United, as he feels it's the right time in his career to experience something new.
Dortmund Boss: We'll Listen To Offers For Hummels
The World Cup winning defender has reportedly been made Manchester United's main target in the summer, and it is said that it could cost around £30 million to bring him to the English club.
Beckenbauer has added his opinion to the ongoing debate and insists Hummels should take the chance to join the Premier League giants.
"At 26, Hummels is at the best age to make the move to England and I can understand his thinking well." Beckenbauer told the media, as quoted by the Daily Star.
Hummels has had to consider his immediate future with Borussia Dortmund, as it's expected that they will miss European football next season.
The centre-back insists that he hasn't made up his mind whether he is leaving or not, but admitted that he is considering many different possibilities.
"That doesn't mean that I am leaving, it just means I'm reflecting," he said.
"There's no particular tendency one way or the other. It's just thoughts going through my mind. It will all become clearer in the coming weeks."
The 26-year-old defender is also a transfer target for Chelsea and Arsenal, and it could be a real dog fight for his signature should he make it public that he wants to leave.
