Arsenal came from behind to secure a 3-2 win over Manchester City in their final pre-season clash on Sunday evening.
The Gunners squandered a glorious chance to take the lead after 19 minutes when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fired over the crossbar with only Willy Caballero to beat.
Arsenal should have gone ahead after 23 minutes when Chamberlain picked out Francis Coquelin, who saw his effort blocked on the line.
City eventually broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, as Raheem Sterling picked out Sergio Aguero, who slotted home from close range.
Arsenal struggled to find a way back in the contest in the first half, as they went into the break trailing City.
The Gunners leveled matters shortly after the break, as Alex Iwobi collected a pass from Theo Walcott, before placing the ball into the corner.
Alexis Sanchez, who made his first start of pre-season, nearly put Arsenal in front, but his free-kick from 20-yards out crashed against the crossbar in the 69th minute.
However, Arsenal went ahead in the 73rd minute, as Walcott combined with Sanchez, before lobbing Joe Hart, 2-1.
Arsene Wenger's charges opened up a two-goal advantage in the 84th minute when Chuba Akpom fired home from close range, after Hart had initially denied Walcott.
City pulled a goal back in the 87th minute through Kelechi Iheanacho's close range header, but it was not enough as Arsenal held on for the win.
