Moroka Swallows have been grabbing the headlines due to their problems off the field in recent times, and now their head coach Steve Komphela is unsettled, according to local reports.
Swallows' failure to honour their matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows in December, is what kicked off their latest troubles. Behind the scenes, it has been reported that those two games were not played because of a player strike due to unpaid salaries, and then recently a total of 28 players were dismissed.

Komphela’s future hangs in the balance and the coach wasn’t in training on Tuesday, before going on to describe the atmosphere at the club lately.
“This Swallows environment is extremely incomprehensible. No one can tell you [and] I also can’t comprehend a thing,” Komphela told SABC Sport.
Having joined the Birds from Mamelodi Sundowns at the start of the season, the well-respected South African mentor slammed the club for keeping him "in the dark" on recent events.
“The team manager is in charge and communicates with players and never with me. I know nothing about all the decisions taken from 27 December."
The former Kaizer Chiefs coach stated that the last time he had heard from the Swallows office was on 12 January when he was instructed to postpone the pre-season resumption that was scheduled for 15 January.
“It’s 15 days past that date and I never got any communication as promised and that’s why I was not at training. I can’t answer your question but Elasto Kapowezha and the chairman are best positioned to answer,” Komphela explained to SABC.
On Tuesday, big name players like Andile Jali, Gabadinho Mhango and Dumisani Zuma were also confirmed to be out of Swallows' squad. The Dube Birds have just 13 days to get everything in order before they resume their campaign against Cape Town City in PSL action.
