When it comes to his rides, Matlou seems to have a more down-to-earth approach, as he's shown up to training with more than one modest car.

Matlou's quirky cars
An old video of mercurial midfielder George Matlou showing up to Naturena in an old white bakkie has resurfaced on social media again.
The clip, which seems to be from last season, sees Matlou stepping out of a 90's Mitsubishi L300, a bakkie that's synonymous with the construction industry as well as plumbing, gardening and other blue collar businesses.
On resale markets, this vintage bakkie starts in the R20 000-mark and it caught eyes in the Kaizer Chiefs Village parking lot when the ex-Moroka Swallows star showed up in it:

In October last year, Matlou's teammate Zitha Kwinika posted a picture of an old Toyota Tazz on his Instagram story, tagging the 25-year-old and poking fun at him for seemingly arriving to training with the ride.
